Halarj. My name is Ivalu Amaroque, though you could have looked up to see that. *points* I am the home-ruled island of Greenland, still officially a part of Denmark's territory... For now. I think I'm fourteen--Despite the date of my autonomy, June 21st, 1979. Huh...
Umm... I guess I like bright colors, polar bears, wolves, and magic... you know, here in Greenland we have many spirits and legends about them. I just wish I had better internet in my house, I have to borrow Denmark's computer all the time. I don't think he cares, though.
is my... brother, I guess? (Yes, I AM still using your internet. And I'm paying for it too, so shut up.)
Hi, Singapore. c: *giant tundra wolf walks out from behind* This is Kiijorn, my spirit guide and wolf-sister. She's friendly... I mean, to people she likes, of course. *smiles* what a nice cat, hallo. *bends down to introduce self to cat*
That's fitting. I love all cats, but especially the Singapura, Russian Blue, Korat, and Turkish Angora. ((But in real life, I have a British Shorthair mix. Huh.)) I hate it when people step on our tail. D: Ok, that won't make sense. Think of it like this, Kiijorn is like an extension of my spirit... I know it sounds weird but honestly, it's not! Not here at least... lol.
It's nice when creatures can get along together.
*Kiijorn nuzzles Mimi and growls happily*
... Secondhand alliance, formed. Teehee, now we can also take over Prussia's Fritziebirds and Chelsey-kins. *laughs*
I have a few other cats at my house and one Merlion, a half-fish, half-lion creature that is a national icon, but nowadays he spends his time in the pond in the nearby park spitting water at passers-by when he feels playful. Mimi is the only cat willing to follow me outdoors and the others are a bit lazy.
*Mimi purrs in delight*
Yes, it's quite pleasent, isn't it?
and don't forget France's Pierre birds and Spain's turtles How many Gilbirds are there anyway?
Oooh, that's neat! We have spirits and great water creatures in the ice and sea, but nothing like that! Kiijorn is a sort of... mm, ice-spirit? *pets* well, there's the wolves and bears in the aurora that we see occasionally. I like running with them C:
I like to think there's 8: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Fritz! Because you can't have two Do's!
The Merlion (or Meru, as I have nicknamed him) has been around since the time of my mother, Temasek. She used to be a great city in the 14th century, with her own language, but she disappeared mysteriously. My Malay name Singapura, from which my English name, Singapore is derived, is from the Sanskrit for 'Lion' and 'City'. So I owe Meru a lot, I guess, and as such I'll let him have his peace. I've been finding pieces of jewellry and pottery from my mother's time in my backyard...
Trust Prussia-sir to have a Gilbird named after Old Fritz
That's cool... of course, there's not much to dig up in my backyard. It's all dirt and ice! Though the icebergs and caves are very fun to explore...
Lion City Almost like Venice. Isn't their symbol a winged lion with a book or something...? Umm...
More specifically, I dug them up aroung Fort Canning. Before England came, that hill was supposed to be haunted, but it's a lovely place now, with lots of plants I found Chinese pottery and some Indian jewellry *holds up several gold, sparkly things* very few are wole, but they're a good find in a modern city, eh? Icebergs and caves...I'm used to the heat, so I'd like to go somewhere cold...
I'm not sure. Venice is more famous for it's canals.
Neat. I like plants... we have lots of shrubbery and tough grasses here. And lots of snow in the cold seasons.
Yeah. You don't see much now, do you? *pokes shiny thing softly*
You should visit some time. We could do a country swap!
I found out, it is a winged lion. : D And lots of canals.
I kind of want to see Prussia commanding an army of chickens now.
There's a spice garden there, with nutmeg and chillies and all sorts of stuff.
I think this used to be part of a hairpin *holds on jewel encrusted thing up* You see the sharp part there? I think with a bit of polishing this would make a fine display in the Singapore Ancient Civilisations Museum. I call it SAM.
Oh, I'll need you there with me. I don't think I can survive alone there
Too bad, due to global warming, Venice is slowly sinking into the ocean...
"ONWARD, MY PRETTIES! POOP ON EVERY HEAD YOU SEE!!!"
It IS kind of cold... and you don't want to fall in the water... but our houses are awesome.
I know... I kind of feel sorry for the Italy Bros. I can't imagine what it would be like if Greenland started sinking! (well, I could. But I would not be a happy girl. :c )
OHCRAP *runs away* IT'S LIKE IN "ATTACK OF THE TOMATOES!" BUT WITH BIRDS!
There's plenty of nutmeg at my brother Indonesia's place. He says the fruit is harmless and they even pickle it, but two whole seeds ('nuts') can kill a full grown man.
We nickname a lot of stuff here, but it's mostly acronyms. We're (in)famous for the acronyms. And bad driving. But brother Malaysia is worse.
You can easily tell a Singaporean driver on a Malaysian road. They'll be the only idiots signalling to turn.
Not to sound ignorant, but do you live in igloos?
Venice is such a nice place, too...
Piyo piyo!Pii pii piyo!" (Capn', we're out of ammo!) "The birdfeed's over there!"... I wonder if Gilbert can understand his Gilbirds...
Well, if you choked on it... but I dunno, I just like to put little sprinkles in banana smoothies and stuff. 8D
Oh lol. Dangerous.
Sometimes, such as when hunting in the winter, people will build igloos out of the snow as temporary shelter. But tons of people live in normal houses, too! It was mainly the nomads of early Greenland that used igloos as shelter. ((I had to look some of that up. Since I wasn't sure if they DID still live in igloos. ^^'))
Yeah...
I think he can. Canada understands his bear, and America understands his Alien, and England has his fairies, I have Kiijorn... he probably can.
